Have A Nice Day is a SUCCESS!!! And growing . . .

Hello again, everybody!!!

Mere words cannot properly express the excitement we’ve all been feeling here at Windcast Pictures. Ever since our short film Have A Nice Day made its internet debut two weeks ago, it has become something of a growing sensation with viewers from all corners of the world.

So far, we’ve managed to get over a few hundred views on Vimeo and YouTube, and the numbers just keep rolling in!!! We’ve been receiving a plethora of wonderful comments and suggestions, some saying that they’d like to see more teddy bear-related content in the future (a proposal that we are now taking VERY seriously). So to all you viewers out there across the globe who took the time to watch our little cinematic effort, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU a billion times over!!! J

But the fun is far from over for Have A Nice Day . . . . and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

We’re doing everything in our power to get the film out to as many new viewers as possible and by any means necessary. And since we consider you all permanent members of the WP family, we would like to formally request your help in passing along our little film.

Here are the links:

Please feel free to send out these links to anyone and everyone you think might be interested in seeing the film, using any method of your choice! You can send emails, post them on your blog or website, tweet them, or whichever way you choose! Any possible way you can get the word out to as many people as possible would be greatly appreciated!

I really wish I could find the words to express the true level of our gratitude we have for all you fans of ours here at WP. To know that Have A Nice Day has meant so much to you all is the real reason we ever wanted to pursue careers in filmmaking to begin with. We would love to buy all you guys new cars and fancy waffle irons, but our current funds simply won’t allow it. But if Have A Nice Day continues on this current ascension, maybe we cant get y’all those waffle irons after all!

Thanks again, everybody . . . AND KEEP SPREADING THE WORD!!!!

Have A Nice Day (Short Film)

YouTube version

On behalf of the cast and crew, and everyone here at Windcast Pictures, I am proud to present to you all our latest short film Have A Nice Day.

This project began almost three years ago as a class assignment when I was a graduate student at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University.

And now we can present it here to the entire world, in glorious HD with an original score by the amazing and highly underrated Egor Shashin. If you ever need the very best music score for your film or video project, be sure to check out Egor’s website and drop him a line!

We sincerely hope you enjoy this special version of Have A Nice Day. And if you do, we would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below or by email at windcastpictures@gmail.com.

So please enjoy . . . and HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

MOUNTAINS?!? WHY MOUNTAINS?!?!?

Now why would the folks from WP be up in the mountains of Anaheim Hills, California? Just out for a hike? Possibly looking for treasure? Embarking on an epic quest to seek out and make piece with an elusive pack of wild emus?

Close, but no cigar!! What you’re seeing in this particular photograph is a “test shot” for our upcoming short film!!! While we still can’t say much about the project, you might be able to tell from this photo that a good portion of the movie will take place . . . very, VERY high up. And with that, I’ll let your imaginations stir for now . . . . J

On another note, yours truly has recently been granted the prestigious honor of a personal profile on IMDB!!! This all came about because of a short film I wrote that was put into production last year. You can check out both the film and my IMDB page at the links below:

The Dead Have RISEN!!!

Hey there, everybody!!!

Let me just take a moment here to dust the cobwebs off of what has become of the Windcast Pictures website. We've been away for a while for a number of reasons (rampant unemployment, dwindling resources, various unorthodox methods of survival, etc.), but now we're BACK UP AND RUNNING WITH A NEW SHORT FILM!!!! But more on that later.

Last night, our producer Jessica and I treated ourselves to a rather special film screening. After some successful pulling of strings, I was able to get us into a pre-release screening of Survival Of The Dead, followed by a Q&A with the legend himself, George A. Romero!!!

All in all, the movie was an absolute blast and Mr. Romero was a true delight, a man who has lived through the very best and worst of the film industry yet can still wear a genuine smile. Too few filmmakers are as humble and friendly to their audience as Romero is. For our special breed of creators, he is a real example to live by.

Go see Survival Of The Dead in theaters May 28!!!

Okay, so now . . . onto our new short film!!!

We are currently in heavy pre-production for the film, the title of which . . . . cannot yet be posted here. But what we CAN tell y'all is that it will be an action-adventure like no other, and once we move closer to production, we'll keep you updated here!!!

It's just too damn good to be back, kids!!! STAY TUNED!!!!
